In order to learn currency trading, or forex trading as it is also known, you must first understand what currency trading entails. Currency trading is essentially trading the money of one economy for the money of another economy  that has equal value. The United States and the European Union are both examples of economies with their own currency, with the Euro being the currency of the European Union and the Dollar the currency of the United States.

The goal of currency trading is to buy currency when it is valued lower than relative currencies in the hopes of making a profit when the value increases. The value of an economy's currency is constantly changing much like the values of stocks and bonds in markets such as the New York Stock Exchange. Most currency trades are from major markets. These include the United States Dollar, the Euro of the European Union, the British Pound, the Japanese Yen, the Swiss Franc, the Australian Dollar, and the Canadian Dollar.
